Yorkshire Curd Tart
also known as Yorkshire Cheesecake Pastry for a 7" flan ing
6oz butter
6 oz / 3/4 cup caster sugar / fine white
A good handful of ground rice
Roll out the pastry and line a 7" flan ring placed on a baking sheet. Combine the filling ingredients. Spoon into pastry case.
Bake above centre of oven at 200C / 400F, Gas 5, for about 30 - 35 minutes until pastry is cooked and filling just firm & golden. Best eaten whilst just warm.
